Dear Beaverbrook Families,

The safety of our students and staff is a top priority for the Griffin-Spalding County School System (GSCS). To help ensure a safe environment and streamline our operations, your child’s school is participating in a pilot program of the Centegix Visitor Management System.

Centegix Visitor Management is a safety solution that allows schools to check in every visitor with a comprehensive but quick process that verifies their identity, screens their background, and puts staff at ease. Previously, GSCS has used Raptor Visitor Management. The change in the visitor management program means there will be a new procedure when visitors arrive on campus.

When a visitor arrives at your child’s school, he or she will check in with your front-office staff in the main office. Our visitor management system scans the visitor’s driver's license. The system then screens for sexual offenses, custody issues and other red flags that might indicate danger to students or staff. Upon clearance, the visitor is given a printed visitor label to wear for the entire time he or she is on campus. When a visitor prepares to leave campus, he or she will scan their visitor’s badge to check out. Please bring your driver’s license each time you check in and out of the school.

GSCS is excited about piloting the new Centegix Visitor Management System. This program will help make our schools safer for students and staff while also allowing us to streamline daily operations and be better stewards of public funds.

GSCS previously installed the Centegix Safety Platform on all of our campuses in 2024. This platform is an incident alerting solution that protects students and staff members by empowering teachers and staff to request help with a simple push of a button. The solution provides first responders with the most accurate location information which enables them to respond faster to any situation. The implementation of the Centegix Visitor Management System will further synchronize our operations to help ensure the safety of our students and staff.

Thank you!
